The clinically-proven treatment for trauma and PTSD

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, or EMDR, is an evidence-based treatment for trauma, PTSD, and other mental health conditions that has been recognized as an effective form of treatment by organizations such as the American Psychiatric Association, the World Health Organization, the Department of Defense, and many others.

EMDR takes advantage of a natural emotional processing mechanism in the brain, activated by rapid eye movements back and forth or other forms of bilateral stimulation.  It is believed that this is the same mechanism activated by the Rapid Eye Movement (REM) phase of sleep.

EMDR therapy changes the way traumatic memories are stored and accessed in the brainThese changes can even be seen using before-and-after brain scans!
